Having Trouble Staying On Program

Hi Everyone,

I’m having trouble staying on program as the title of my latest blog post says.  This past week I had a couple of good on program days and the rest of the days of this past week I was off program.  Like today I didn’t track at all because I left my Weight Watchers materials at home.  I know that wasn’t an excuse to not track but I didn’t know what else to do.

I do have some issues that need to be looked into.  One I hurt my left ankle three weeks ago and I can’t put too much weight on it or else it’ll hurt.  So I can’t jump around too much but I can still walk.  The problem with walking is that I can’t seem to fit it into my schedule.  I have this 70 year old male friend who likes to give me rides all over the place and when I try to walk somewhere he seems to stop me while I’m walking and tells me to get in his car so it’s hard for me to say no I’d rather walk but I’m going to stand up to him tomorrow that’s for sure.  I want to lose weight and I can’t do that if I don’t start exercising.

Another issue is the 8 Good Healthy Guidelines.  I can’t seem to fit them in either.  The ones I have trouble with are the 2 tsp. of healthy oil, limit sugars, choose whole grain foods and eat 5 servings of fruits and vegetables(I don’t like salads so that’s out of the question).  I also have trouble getting in my 2 servings of milk/dairy products and my 6 glasses of water.  I take a multi-vitamin with my medications so I never forget that so I’m doing good with that one.

So those are my two issues.  Hopefully I’ll have a loss to report tomorrow but if I don’t I won’t get discouraged I’ll just get back on the wagon.

An Introduction to my Weight Loss Journey

Hi Everyone,

I Just wanted to introduce myself and my weight loss journey to you all in this first post.  My name is Margaret but everyone calls me Maggie, I’m 28 years old and I live in Neenah, Wisconsin.  I live on my own with my Calico cat named Carly.  I’m currently seeing someone but I don’t have any children.  I’m also looking for a job as I don’t have one.  I have one brother, one sister in law, one niece and two half sisters.

My weight loss journey originally started January 2, 2008.  That’s when I joined Weight Watchers for the first time.  I did poorly in the beginning, going between gaining and losing then I lost for four weeks and gained for two weeks and so on.  On July 24th I stopped going to Weight Watchers meetings because I couldn’t afford it.  After I quit my health started getting worse so five weeks after I quit Weight Watchers I decided to rejoin and so I did.  I’m nearing my third week back on program(my weigh-ins are on Mondays)and am hoping for a loss.  I don’t care how big a loss just a loss will be good.  If I gain I gain and I just have to watch everything I eat and stay within my daily points target and also watch portions which I have a hard time doing.

I’m hoping to lose 70 pounds on the Weight Watchers Flex Plan.  I know it takes time but I’m not going to give up like I did in the past.  I just want to be healthier and skinnier that’s all.
